Complete List of ImajSite Utilities

The following utilities make up ImajSite. These files are all stored in the installation directory.

Directory Level Build Utilities

The following batch files are invoked directly by the build scripts:

    mkhtmset.bat      Directory Builder
mkhtmdir.bat   Directory Builder (obsolete)
mkhtmlnk.bat  Symlinks Builder
chksymlk.exe  Symlinks Checker (invoked by default "makelink.bat" file)

The following utilities are invoked automatically by the "mkhtmset.bat" and "mkhtmdir.bat" files above:

    mkhtmidx.exe       Index Builder
mkhtmsld.exe  Slide Builder
mkthumbs.exe  Thumbnail Builder
setsig.exe  Signature Creator
sorthtm.exe  Sets slide file sort order from a pre-sorted list of file names

The following utilities are invoked automatically by the "mkhtmlnk.bat" file above:

    fdhtmkdb.exe      Keyword Database Finder
idb2kdb.exe  Index Database to Keyword Database Converter
mkhtmslk.exe  Keyword Database to Symlinks File Converter
linkhtml.exe  Symlinks Creator (obsolete)

You can type  "filename /?"  to display a usage message for the utilities above.

System Level Build Utilities

The following batch file is invoked by the user at the MS-DOS Prompt:

    maketree.bat       System Builder

The following utilities are invoked automatically by the "maketree.bat" file above:

    global.exe      Directory Tree Command Executor   Cool!
mkhtmidb.exe  Index Database Creator
mkhtmkdb.exe  Keyword Database Creator (obsolete)
mkhtmtree.exe  Directory Tree Builder
logmsg.exe  Log file message logger

You can type  "filename /?"  to display a usage message for the utilities above, including the "maketree.bat" command.

Default Build Scripts

    makeindx.bat       Empty stub file
makelink.bat  Default build script which checks symlinks.txt files for valid links

Windows GUI Utilities

The following utilities have a graphical user interface (GUI). They are invoked as stand-alone applications or by Windows Explorer:

    drophtm.exe      HTML Multi-File Info Editor
kwdlist.exe  HTML Keyword List Creator
launch.exe  URL Drag & Drop Application Launcher
newmkidx.exe   Build Script Creator
whdesc.exe  HTML File Info Editor

Other Stand-Alone Utilities

The following command-line utilities may be invoked by the user:

    cgiserver.exe      Simple CGI Web Server
fmtnews.exe  Newsgroup Message Formatter
hdesc.exe  HTML File Info Editor
mergehtm.exe  Directory Merger
mkhtmkwl.exe  Keyword Database Cross Reference Generator
msgdec.exe  MIME Mail Message Decoder   Cool!

Install Utilities

The following batch file is used to install ImajSite:

    mkhtmins.bat      ImajSite Installer

The following utilities are invoked automatically by the "mkhtmins.bat" file above:

    addpath.exe      Directory Path Installer
associate.exe  File Associator   Cool!

You can type  "filename /?"  to display a usage message for the utilities above.

Files marked Cool! are great little general-purpose utilities that are also useful in applications other than ImajSite.
